Spring Row-A-Thon Is On!

Mt. Baker is more than a place on the water—it’s where lives grow and communities connect. Youth build confidence and lasting friendships, and adults find calm, challenge, and belonging. As a public program, we’re committed to keeping these experiences accessible to all. Each year, our Annual Fund Campaign invites our community to help sustain the programs that make this mission possible.

  • I joined crew in the summer of 2023 as a nervous tween brimming with self-doubt and anxiety. Three years later, I'm fully committed to rowing at Tufts University! If any of you have been around to see my growth these last few years, you've likely seen the positive impact rowing has had on my life. I've learned how to be confident and assertive, to communicate effectively, and to believe in myself and my teammates. This is why I'm hoping to raise $300 for Mount Baker, as a part of our annual spring fundraiser. This fundraiser is personal for me: I would not be here without the generous donors who raise money every year for athletes like me to attend through financial aid and scholarships. This year, we’re raising $65,000 to help upgrade equipment and provide scholarships to future rowers. Your generous support means more kids like me can find the place where they truly belong!

  • This season I joined the Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center for spring rowing. I’m new to rowing, but I’ve already found it to be a really fun and rewarding experience. I’ve been learning a lot about teamwork, discipline, and pushing myself to improve every day. I'm currently fundraising to help support the Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center so our team can continue training and competing throughout the season. Rowing takes a lot of money for new boats, oars, and rowing machines. Our total fundraising goal is $65,000 for the whole club. Any support would mean a lot to me and to the team. Thank you for helping support my rowing journey!

  • Hi My name is Lindsay and I am a senior and I have been rowing for 3 years! Rowing has changed myself in so many ways, I will cherish all this sport has taught me. I have learned to be a better teammate, friend, and learned to push myself because of the girls that surrounded me during my time here at Mount Baker! I am also committed on rowing Division 1 at Santa Clara University, which is a dream come true and I would have never believed I would become a student athlete in college, but I am so grateful that rowing has given me the chance to. So it would been so much to receive even the smallest of donations so our team can continue to build both our team through scholarships but also build our fleet with new boats and equipment needed to continue developing a competitive environment and program.

Goals & Priorities

Scholarships

The demand for financial assistance surged in 2025 — more households became eligible for support across a wider range of income levels. Your donation will ensure that every participant, regardless of financial background, can join our programs in 2026.

Community Outreach

We’re committed to broadening access to our programs, especially for underserved communities. In July, for the third year in a row, we will co-host a Camp Lucy program with the George Pocock Rowing Foundation.

Equipment Renewal

To assure high-quality experiences for all our participants, the Boating Advisory Council is launching a multi-year plan to steadily replace aging equipment across all levels.

  • Mt. Baker isn’t just where I learned to row — it’s where I learned who I am. The water, the people, the early mornings… they’ve shaped me in ways I’ll carry forever.
