About Us
Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center is a vibrant community boathouse located on the southwest shore of Lake Washington. Operated in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Associated Recreation Council, we offer inclusive, high-quality rowing and sailing programs that empower youth and adults to connect with the water, build confidence, and grow through sport.
We offer:
Junior Rowing: A year-round program for middle and high school students, with both recreational and competitive opportunities. Athletes train in a supportive, team-based environment and many go on to compete at the collegiate and national levels.
Masters Rowing: Open to adults of all experience levels—from beginners to competitive racers—our masters program offers opportunities for fitness, fun, and connection on the water.
Sailing Programs: Youth and adult sailing instruction is available through seasonal courses and clinics. Participants learn water safety, boat handling, and seamanship using our fleet of small boats.
Summer Camps: Each summer, we welcome youth ages 8–18 to a variety of weeklong rowing and sailing camps. These camps provide an active, engaging introduction to life on the water in a safe, supportive setting.
For over 40 years, Mt. Baker has fostered personal growth, resilience, and a lifelong love of outdoor recreation. Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, join a team, or spend your summer on the lake, you’ll find a supportive and welcoming community here.
