We’re excited to welcome back our Sailing Team and to offer local youth the opportunity to participate in local and regional events throughout the PNW while building the next generation of incredible sailors. While the program is still in its early stages, our anticipated yearly plan includes practices and regatta support from spring through fall. Athletes will have many opportunities to take their sailing to the next level and create lifelong experiences and memories as part of the Baker Sailing Team.

Program Details

13 - 18 years old
Novice: Any athlete that is within their first year of sailing
Experienced: More than 1 year of youth sailing.
Spring sailing team info will be posted in late Feb.
Regattas are for all experienced sailors unless specifically noted. There will be a fee for each regatta. The estimate fee is currently listed.

March 14, Baker Day, Mt. Baker. Free
March 21, Greenlake, Seattle WA. Est: $100
April 4, Husky Open (Select Varsity) Est: $90
April 12, Rose City, Vancouver WA (transportation provided) Est: $190
April 24-26, Brentwood Regatta, Maple Bay, Canada Est: $750
(Transportation provided & Passport is required)
May 2 Opening Day (Select Varsity) $100
May 15-17 NW Regionals, Est: $775
(Transportation provided)
Fees included all coaching and activities at Mt. Baker. Regattas are an extra fee and scholarships are available.
Scholarships can help with:
- Activity fees
- Regatta travel
- Required race gear
We know these costs add up for families, and we are committed to ensuring that there are no financial barriers to participation in our programs.
Seattle Parks and Recreation offers a 50-90% assistance level.

Scholarship Website and Application
If your family does not meet the criteria of the Seattle Parks and Recreation Scholarship, we also offer expanded assistance levels of 10-40% with our Supplemental Financial Aid. (You will still need to apply for an SPR scholarship first).
