Nick Kittleman

Varsity Boys Assistant Coach

Nick began his rowing career at Mt. Baker in the summer of 2015 as he entered eighth grade. Inspired by an uncle who rowed for the University of Washington and two cousins who rowed for the University of California, Berkeley and Gonzaga University, Nick embraced the sport with passion and enthusiasm. During his time at Mt. Baker, he trained under coaches Erik Strand and Dan Rinker, both former rowers for Green Lake Crew and Gonzaga University.

Nick’s most notable achievements at Mt. Baker include winning the petite final of the Lightweight 8+ at the 2018 Youth National Championships and winning the Northwest Regional Championship in the Lightweight 8+ that same year. By his senior year, Nick stroked the Varsity 8+ and pursued recruitment to a Division I collegiate program, ultimately joining Gonzaga University and following in the footsteps of his coaches. From 2020 to 2024, Nick rowed for Gonzaga, where he made an immediate impact. As a freshman, he stroked the Varsity 8+ and helped the crew qualify for the IRA National Championship in 2021. His other accomplishments include winning Head of the American in the Varsity 8+ in 2022, placing 3rd at the San Diego Crew Classic in the Varsity 8+ in 2022, and winning the Western Sprints Championship in the Second Varsity 8+ in 2024.

Nick graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2024 and earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting in 2025. He now works as an Associate for CLA, specializing in auditing, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services.
